EDUCATION

The Society of Social Psychiatry and Mental Health has a long – standing experience in the field of the de-institutionalisation and has created a variety of structures for the social inclusion and rehabilitation of people with mental health problems. In parallel, the Society operates as an educational institute for mental health professionals. It offers internship programmes for post-graduate students of the Social Psychiatry MSc Degree of the Medical School of the Dimokrition University of Thrace as well as to students of Social Work and Speech Therapy.

In addition the Society accepts volunteers students and health professionals providing credible professional experience and training offering regular supervision and educational seminars. Interested parties are chosen via interview and should be committed to at least six month’s volunteer work.
